Crawlin’ Crab 5k – 8:00a October 4, 2014
This fun 5k starts and finishes in front of the Hampton Roads Convention Center. All 5k “crawlers” are invited to the post-race party with live music, food and 2 craft beers (21+) (additional beer tickets can be purchased).
It’s a run for the whole family! All participants will receive a technical fabric race shirt, and all finishers will receive a unique medal. Top three finishers for overall, masters, and each age group will get awards. There will not be an awards ceremony, awards will be mailed out once all results are verified. Sign everyone up for this one!
**The Crawlin’ Crab 5k is open to participants of all ages. Parents or guardians are encouraged to run with their minor children but must be registered for the race. Responsible adult family members must be present at the finish to receive their minor children as there will be no additional security beyond the secured finisher’s area, and no specific parent/child reunion area.
Kids Kilometer – 9:30a October 4, 2014
The Kids Kilometer is a 1k race for children ages 12 and under and will start and finish under the same start and finish line that the half marathon and 5k use. All participants will receive a cotton t-shirt and a finisher medal. *Adults accompanying a child at the Kids Kilometer will need to purchase a Guardian bib in order to be allowed out on the course. This bib must be visible and placed on your front, not on your side or on your back, and not obstructed by a jacket. Accompanying adults who are not wearing a guardian bib will be restricted from entering the course. Each child is limited to one guardian on the course. This is a closed-in 1k course and guardians are not needed or required for the children to run. There will be a secure corral at the finish line where you will meet up with your child after their race.
Crawlin’ Crab Half Marathon – 8:00a October 5, 2014
The Crawlin’ Crab Half Marathon presented by Bon Secours In Motion starts at 8a at the Hampton Roads Convention Center. All runners will “crawl” past the beautiful waterfront in downtown Hampton, Virginia. Runners will make their way down the historic Chesapeake Ave. and back to the Hampton Convention Center for a crawlin’ fun time at the Craft Brew Fest All Half Marathon runners will receive a unique medal, short sleeve technical shirt, access to the Craft Brew Fest and a finisher’s item.
The Shell Yeah Challenge
Feeling extra energetic this year? Then the Shell Yeah Challenge might be for you! Shell Yeah Challenge participants run the Crawlin’ Crab 5k on Saturday, October 4, 2014 and then the Crawlin’ Crab Half Marathon on Sunday, October 5, 2014. All Shell Yeah finishers will receive an additional challenge medal at the event in recognition of their special achievement. Be bold–take on the Shell Yeah Challenge! You must register before the challenge sells out to be eligible!

Heading West on I64(From Norfolk):
Take exit 263-B (W. Mercury Boulevard/Hampton Coliseum) and turn right at the end of the ramp. Continue straight until the first light and turn right onto Coliseum Drive. Go approximately ¼ mile. The HRCC and Hampton Coliseum are adjacent properties.
Heading East on I64 (from Richmond):
Take exit 263 (Mercury Blvd./James River Bride). Turn left at the end of the ramp (following 258 North) onto Mercury Blvd and continue straight for approximately ¼ mile to Coliseum Drive. Turn right onto Coliseum Drive and go approximately ¼ mile. The HRCC and Hampton Coliseum are adjacent properties.
Heading East on I664 (from Suffolk/Portsmouth):
Merge left onto I-64 West. Take exit 263-B (W. Mercury Boulevard/Hampton Coliseum) and turn right at the end of the ramp. Continue straight until the first light and turn right onto Coliseum Drive. Go approximately ¼ mile. The HRCC and Hampton Coliseum are adjacent properties.
